I know it's technically just meant to be a stand-in for the summer event but the new area having voiced side quests (at least some of them) is honestly refreshing, I really hope they actually are serious about bringing the playable characters into random side stories and allocating 0.000000000000000000001% of the company's value to pay some people to read a few lines
