You're not too old, these are simply not made for you. There are old shows made for actual children like Dragonball or the og Pokemon that are far easier to tolerate with close to none of this nonsense even though you'd expect it to be a thing since the cast is actual children.

This is new-gen garbage, they have a horse and beat it to death until there's nothing left of its corpse. Just drop them and move on if they feel insufferable, your intuition is probably on point. I'm in the same boat, I'm giving anything that came after 2016 exactly one episode to not piss me off with something and if they can't manage that I drop and just move on.
