I think that's a terrible way to frame existence.
I think of the world like Doom, we're alone, in hell, surrounded by demons who want to kill us, but we need to be like Doom-guy and take on the armor of god and smite the wicked demons with all of our might and kill them without mercy and stomp them and rip and tear them until it is done. Just remorseless ultraviolent glory kills all day long 24/7 365 until it is done. That's life. And the only way to win is to slaughter them all as hard and brutally as you can. Make it a game. Get the high score. All must fall.
