Russia Reports Downing 122 Ukrainian Drones; Teens Injured by Debris in Voronezh

Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 122 Ukrainian drones overnight in a widespread attack across a dozen regions, including Crimea.
In the city of Voronezh, regional governor Alexander Gusev reported that three teenagers were injured when debris from a downed drone struck a residential apartment building. The injured included two boys, ages 12 and 16, who were hospitalized, and a 16-year-old girl who was treated at the scene for cuts. At least four apartments were damaged in the incident.
The overnight barrage targeted numerous regions, with the heaviest concentration of drones reported over Bryansk (43) and Kursk (38) oblasts, according to the defense ministry.
The report of the widespread attack comes after an earlier, separate drone strike on Voronezh on the night of July 15, which injured more than 20 people. A man who was seriously injured and fell into a coma during that attack later died in the hospital, officials confirmed on July 16.
