Yeah it's the Rebel Alliance from Star Wars which was already in theaters by the time Iran decided to have their Revolution. I refuse to believe this is a coincidence and I honestly think like Kathleen Kennedy later implied, that Iranians are the heckin' Rebel Alliance and the big old mean USA is the Empire and all they wanted to do was shoot womprats in their T-37's back home.
