Doesn't matter to me either way but the awakened form is when he started to monsterize. It looks like a cheap costume but it's still monster biology as Genos points out, he de-monsterized after losing the will to live since that was what was keeping him going. I'm just saying it's ambiguous as to whether or not the bigger monster form was stronger, though I'd lean towards it being weaker based on story implications, like him getting weaker by the end of it, and the form just being a manifestation of his cope. The guy has horns as the start of the fight, he'd definitely started to physically change by that point. But, again, it's ambiguous because we see the other forms for at best a few panels and there's no real comparison. I like to think the more he monsterized, the weaker he got, because he was abandoning his humanity which was a crucial part of his ability to rise to such heights - makes more thematic sense to me.
