you'll notice if you try loking up similar shots that a;igning a continous stair loop with the character's walk/run cycle is notoriously difficult
usually they cheat by limting it to an above the belt framing of the character or having the legs be smear frames
i recall one of the monogatari films had a similar shot with de-synced feet/stair cycles
don't sweat it too much its been plagueing the industry since time immemorial
you're welcome to provide examples of it done right
i haven't been able to find any myself
