school textbooks are always going to be like that.
they have to prune everything that you're not "supposed" to learn until later. or overly exanded what you've already learned to really hammer in grammar points because of the constraints they're put under.
so you get the most formal by the book language possible

which only a second language speaker would say in natural coversation honestly, but it does teach a lot more about proper grammar and gives every social media english teacher an easy video to make.
