okay this energy has me thinking crazy because my brain went "what if noelle was somehow the knight or actively helping them in line with multiple people in the town being in on making DELTARUNE happen theory" because there's just enough little parts to make it line up to a crazy brain but then falls apart complete when thought through a bit, but:
>the weird angel costume she still has
>the pencil you get from her room "being perfect for jousting"
>her aversion to susie playing the guitar but then suddenly going "actually it's fine" and generally 'distracting' her the whole time while Kris is allowed to freely wander around
>noelle and berdly both somehow fell asleep before the darkworld was created in chapter 2 and noelle knows how to pacify (put enemies to sleep) from the start
>the holiday's whole weird obsession with human hearts/souls
But then it falls apart when weird route is accounted for and a few other of her actions, unless it's some fucked up shit where she, kris, and whoever else are in on it and are actively trying to contain, predict, and guide the soul's actions, with normal route being the intention/their plans going correct and weird route being them so wrong.
The twist of the game being that the town is actively trying to guide or control you down the path that would lead to DELTARUNE happening and the whole thing was a farce would be neat, but it's also logistically and logically impossible and doesn't make any sense unless it's a small group doing this.
