>The very first rooms of the game are one of the best introductions to any RE with Rodrigo the Umbrella mercenary forced to depend on Claire and vice versa
>Rodrigo in general is probably the best NPC character in any of the classic games besides Barry and Wesker
>Rockfort Island is a massive location where every room has a purpose
>Backtracking to unlock areas that you couldn't access previously is more fun in CV than in any other RE game
>Every area within Rockfort Island feels distinct e.g. the Ashford estate, the mansion, the prison, the sewers, the training facility, the airport. It is like the RE1 mansion in design, but bigger.
>Antarctic Base offers a healthy dose of RE2 style gameplay where you get to enjoy mowing down rooms of zombies
>Nosferatu is one of the best bosses in any Resident Evil game both in terms of his design and the fight itself with the sniper rifle
>Even cheesing him with the knife is extremely fun
>The Ashfords are fun antagonists and add to the lore of Umbrella in a meaningful way
>The readable files are mostly cool with standouts including Alexia's musings on ant colonies

I will admit that the very final section of the game from the recreation of the Spencer mansion onwards is quite weak, however:
>Claire coming from RE2 thinking she's hot shit after making it out alive with Sherry and Leon, and then being confronted with the fact that she couldn't save Steve, is a very interesting development for the character
>Seeing Chris and Claire reunite on-screen (from memory, the only time we ever see them together in a canon RE game) is genuinely sweet and one of the best scenes in the series
>The same goes for the Chris vs Wesker fight at the end of CVX which sets up RE5 beautifully

Soundtrack is also INCREDIBLE https://youtu.be/U5SJi1a2Tr0
