I have a broody hen, I've been letting her sit on the eggs for a while with the intention of giving her some chicks soon. First time I've tried this. I tried transferring her and some of the eggs she had been sitting on to a separate pen today. She very quickly escaped out the top and went back to the spot she had been sitting.

The nesting area is very small and doubles as the roosting area for the other birds. This is not a suitable place for the chicks. What should I do?
