When you're a native you don't have to think at all about what you're typing/speaking. You do it on instinct. When you learn a non native language, you have to expend incredible effort to speak it. Therefore they are far more analytical when reading messages while natives typically don't care about spelling mistakes since they know it's their language. Whatever we want the language to be is what it is.
