>These long wait times are killing the hype of everything I dont even care about watching Demon Slayer or MHA endings anymore.
Yeah, I was so invested in in so many different anime in 2019, but once covid rolled around every studio hit the pause button on everything (not really sure why tbdesu, you can draw 6 feet away from each other) and now every anime season takes AT LEAST 2 years to come out and it's always only like 12 episodes at most. I've lost interest in new anime altogether and have just been watching all the anime from 2019 on back that I missed out on for the past 5 years. Why would anybody pick up a new anime series anymore? We all already know it won't get a second season if it underperforms, but now we also know that even if it does phenomenal we'll have to wait 2+ years for the second season and we'll have totally forgotten everything we watched 2 years ago and will have lost all hype for it. This just makes people even less interested in watching the first season when it comes out so it's more likely to underperform which means it's more likely to never get a second season so there's even less of a reason to ever pick it up in the first place. Maybe I'll pick up these new anime in 10 years from now when they're complete, until then, I have better things to fill my time with.
