I agree with this anon(s), especially because a very good gradient between the two is the shitty Ankou dance from Girls und Panzer.
It was a shitty and lazy attempt to cash in on moeblob dances from 2012 that even its own IP completely dropped after the original TV show.
It was also made to pander to NND otaku, it was just forced and lame. I'd say it sucks as much as today's tiktok dances. The big difference is that again it was trying to pander to OTAKU, not every teenage girl with a cellphone.
