Lamentations of Enoch :: Announcement of troubles to sinners

My eyes are like a cloud of water. If I were to cry over you,
a cloud of water would drown you. Oh, that I could remove the trouble from my heart...

Who made you hate others and do evil to them? Because of
that's what the Judgment will bring you, you sinners!

And you, the righteous, do not be afraid of sinners, because the Lord will deliver them into your hands, and you will execute judgment on them as you wish.

Woe to you who heat [or: "heat until red hot"] i
bring them to irreversible destruction [Hebrew: "herem"; Greek:
"anathema"; both expressions mean "destruction"; the line refers to those who practice magic]! Because of your sins you will not be healed [or: "you will not escape destruction"].

Woe to you who do evil to your neighbor! Because they will find you too
evil, due to your merits.

Woe to you who bear false witness and to you who pervert justice,
because you will soon be exterminated!

Woe to you, sinners who persecute the righteous! Because you will too
to be exiled and driven away because of their iniquity. A heavy yoke will fall on your neck!
