Well, I mean, it's all still going downhill. Gold era was better than Platinum, and that was better than Colorful era, etc. The company seems to have no money as evidenced by stairwells being the most popular spot to take photos or in front of large garage doors. Long gone are the trips to Hawaii. And with all of that came lower levels of talent, less hiring and current members staying on into their granny years. I mostly follow Morning Musume. Morning Musume '25 (they put the year after the name now. idk why. tax evasion?) had some good old drama recently. Photos surfaced of Oda Sakura and a man in a room. Apparently there was a bed in the background and bottle of ??? lube??? Then a younger member, Rio Kitagawa, got busted for trashing her fellow members in a private social media account. She's on "hiatus" right now, and Oda is slated to be the next leader in a couple of months. Mizuki Fukumura graduated after being the leader for 12 or so years. Her solo stuff ain't going too well.
Rio Sakurai, aka Riley, is pretty popular in MM and is somewhat new. Maria Makino is the company beauty and often does swimsuit shoots. Homare Okamura and Mei Yamazaki are gen mates and cute to watch. They seemed to click when they joined and have seemed like good friends since. Kitagawa is their gen mate and trashed them, too, apparently out of jealousy.
Masaki Sato over the course of her time, rose to be the most popular girl in the whole company. If you don't mind a bratty girl who is also a cute airhead. She was a pretty decent singer (again low bar), and is doing pretty well in M-line Music these days.
Reina Tanaka got knocked up and also announced an engagement. Saw plenty of photos with babby but wedding photos seemed to have not surfaced? idk, i haven't been looking either.
Sayumi Michishige said she was diagnosed with something like obsessive/compulsive/perfectionism? She also announced a planned departure from entertainment.
Momochi of course disappeared and told fans to fuck off. Miyabi is hanging around M-line Music with occasional performances and hosting a cooking corner (she just stands there with a production notebook in her hands). She seems addicted to lip-filler too.

Some people like Marine Fukuda from Tsubaki Factory. She's getting old tho, and her eyes are getting puffy - like she was in the boxing ring too long. You could follow her or Riley/rairi. Like i said it's a low bar these days.
