/k/ has been raided by various groups from Russia and their constituent ally nations (like India). They are NOT subtle, and they are in fact actually paid to do it. They don't really seem to have an actual goal other than shitting things up, blaming the West/America, and insisting that they are "based." I should probably also state that I think most groups that raid 4chan are from different groups and backgrounds, but they all share the same grudge against the concept of an anonymous imageboard that can call a politician a little gay boy or simply relax with strangers.

Once you start noticing this, you see it everywhere. /pol/ is basically their "base" and send out raids to maintain a foothold in other boards. Since their MO is shitting things up, I think a lot of the enshittification of other boards is because they regularly post there. And seeing how long those boards have been shit, they've been at this for a long time...
