“Chaya.” you say, reaching over and grabbing her, then leaning in and whispering. “Hold on. Let the gods talk a moment. And listen. Try and get a read on them.”

“Pardon me, but if we're the second from the bottom, then which universe would be ranked lower than us?” Whis asks curiously. To which Grand Priest's smile turns slightly wolfish as he turns, gazing at the Ninth.
“I'm sure you already know.” he says, Roh gasping in terror at the revelation. Even the Ninth's Destroyer looks worried. “The Ninth's level is the lowest, a meager 1.86.”

For a moment he lets the difference hang in the air, then continues.

“Now, as for this Tournament of Power. The Omni King has long said that there are far too many universes in the cosmos. Which is why the proposal offered by Chaya of the Seventh Universe has presented his grace with the perfect opportunity.” the angel continues, you immediately getting a bad feeling about this. “Those universes defeated in the Tournament of Power are to be eliminated by Grand Zen-Oh himself.”

And at this several deities shout in astonishment, you hearing the disgruntled murmurs and worried whispers of everyone gathered. Champa's “Say WHAT?!” the loudest, but every deity looks on concerned.

“Bastard.” Chaya says under her breath, staring the Grand Priest down. Whose unaffected smile may have widened slightly, as if he heard her and is pleased with the reaction.

“So if we lose these Expo matches, does that mean our universe will be annihilated, too?” Roh asks, visibly nervous and sweating. Real fear in his eyes, you feeling Bane's phantom imprint in your mind almost taking a deep breath.
“No, that won't be happening.” Grand Priest answers, the relief on Roh's face clear as he sighs out. Having already lost two matches, you get his sudden fear.

You and Chaya carefully listen to the deities, noticing several things. The most important of which is the clown-looking god, who says to his hooded accomplice that its a shame the other universes will be erased in a farce of a tournament none of the other universes stand a chance of winning in. Champa, panicked to Fuwa, wonders if he can let the other universes take the Seventh out, then claim victory after they're exhausted from fighting the 'strongest' universe. Which does put a smile on both you and your daughter's faces. But it is Zamasu's words you really focus on as he speaks to himself.
