Foreigners in expat contracts have their pay split between Thailand and their home country and usually the business takes care of their taxes because it’s a burden. I’m not on an expat contract, so I’m paid in THB, direct deposit to my Kasikorn bank account. I make about 200,000 baht a month so I get taxed fairly hard. But I can’t complain. My biggest complaint about Thailand aside from the weather and the traffic is indians. I live near Nana and Phloenchit BTS, so the Indians are overwhelming. I feel bad for Thai people and I do my best as a white dude to be respectful here. But I do go to Nana Plaza a lot. Can you blame me?
