It took me a while to get past the early checkmarks, didn't help that the girls I like the most have harder goals. The ones you start with are typically easier. My go-to for quick career sessions is sprint/front and just dumping all my points on Speed and Power, even if that takes some of the unpredictability and fun of some of the later races. My Grass Wonder won URA without being a favorite in any of the three races. Don't know if I got lucky or the Long Shot skill is that OP.
Oh, and to keep it /vt/ related, during her latest Uma Musume stream, Ember ordered a good amount of food and kept eating while playing, as is tradition (and of course chat kept suggesting her to order more)
