Games are designed for their intended purpose, and the purpose of Elden Ring is to be a demi-god slayer in a world rife with enemies to fight, things to find, and legacy dungeons to progress through. In this way, Elden Ring's design works for what it sets out to do, regardless if that's not what YOU want it to do.
