“Miss Raidian, um...”
“Ah, is it Rosemary again...?”
“Yes, I’m very sorry to bother you... We really had no other choice but to come to you...”
A medic operator walked in front while Raidian followed behind. The distance was just right, and their footsteps matched, creating overlapping rhythms. Through the corridor, three left turns, and up an elevator, they reached the deepest part of the Medical Department’s rehabilitation ward. A wide, well-lit room awaited. Several baskets of colorful yarn balls were piled abruptly at the entrance.
“So, this therapy works well for her?”
“Yes, whenever Rosemary is around colorful yarn, she becomes noticeably more relaxed. We’ve been trying to help her enjoy it as much as possible, but if we let our guard down just a little...”
“Hehe, she ends up getting completely tangled in the yarn and can’t untangle herself?”
“We tried using scissors, but she seems really resistant to that... So we had no choice but to trouble you again...”
“Little Tree” gently patted the medic operator’s shoulder. “Little Spindle” twisted the doorknob. Inside, the young Feline girl’s ears twitched slightly, but her attention remained focused on fiddling with the yarn.
“For her, untangling herself has always been an important lesson.
“There are many things in this world that are chaotic — like electric signals, words, emotions, even balls of yarn...
“What matters isn’t a sharp edge that cuts through everything at once and tosses it away, but using your own hands to unravel the knots and put things in order. Violent solutions often leave behind ruins. Many times, these things just need to return to the form they were always meant to take.”
Raidian pulled back her hand. “Little Tree” and “Little Spindle” playfully made a double-handed shrugging gesture.
“From that perspective, having four hands does give me a bit of an advantage.”
