Ankoku Kishi is clearly inspired by Greek mythology. It also has no Academy, Adventurer Guild, inexplicable game mechanics or ABC ranks. There is a Hero and a Demon Lord, but it's actually a bullshit story for mortals, "Demon Lord" is just one of the gods and "Hero" is a summoned human who was upgraded to god by the summoning ritual. The series focuses on gods, who are roughly divided into three conflicted factions, and their power struggles.
If you want to read it, keep in mind that early arcs, especially the first one, can be a bit of a heavy read thanks to MC's braindead CF wrecking havoc on his self-confidence. While the story as a whole isn't some misery porn, it lifts MC from his lowest slower than most series.
