What is humanity? Can we truly separate ourselves from the vegetable matrix of Mother Earth, the one true creator and sustainer of our very beings? Can we breath without Her ever-present air spirit? Can the trees exist, if She gives not soil for the sapling? Can we expect a single beat of our hearts if our own Mothers don't give birth to us through her own gory travails? Yet we invent this invisible, patriarchal tyrant that can only be perceived by shadows and whispers, the hope of kingdom that never comes, always beckoning on the horizon, even after the dreary centuries of long-suffering saints? What has been produced but a society that totally contradicts the tedious morality that they bled so much for? It's almost as though we're waking up from a dream and remembering the truth of this world.
We are birthed by the Earth and to the Earth we shall return. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
