I have met a grand total of two tolerable people into this fetish throughout years of exploring it, and yeah, you're spot on. The first guy I didn't even meet as a direct result of the fetish and we just happened to find out we both liked it, too (though tolerable is a stretch - he was a bpdemon who ended up ghosting me thrice). The second was great though, we still talk to this day, way too far to do anything irl unfortunately.
Still, the fact that I was able to meet a couple people I liked gives me hope that it still may be worth hanging around in these circles to see if I can find a third, or fourth, and so on.
