pretty sure that's how it works and what it's supposed to do, it's goal is to dry up your sebaceous glands until all the pimples go away. But they slowly recover over time and there is a good chance the acne returns if you don't keep your face clean. I mean this was me before accutane and it got worse, spread to most of my face. But now it's all gone, and luckily no scaring. So it does work, and it is worth it
