It's been frustrating watching my own country spreading this disease. Foreign games have had various races/cultures in their games because they think it's cool for decades now. Yet it's the West that has to force it unnaturally in their own media because they literally don't know how to anymore.
You always end up with two scenarios:
>Character has to mention in every other line that they're black and do black things.
or
>Show isn't allowed to mention even one bit about their race/culture or you risk offending someone
I used to hate having to explain why I never picked black characters despite being black. They're either always really lame or some "street smart" caricature.
