However you did note how she tended to be more lenient with you, and was always willing to give you special attention when she taught.

Those familiar with Gerty's leadership — Bertha, Mel, and Ruby Rose — would comment on Gerty's affection towards you while teaching in an almost highschool-like gossip, even though you were literally married to her. Mel and Rose would admit that, despite being members of Gerty's questing party, they weren't really a part of the guards Gerty had direct command over. This left Bertha as the sole member that regularly received orders from Gerty back in Riverdale. You found that Bertha, being of the Warrior class, would either act as a guard within Forthwythe's castle walls or be sent out on miscellaneous missions by Gerty herself.

You almost wondered how things were turning out in Forthwythe's place without someone with as much apparent importance as Gerty. Last you'd heard, Riverdale was raising up an army to counter the Bandit King's forces. Now with the Bandit King captured and waiting to be executed in Centria, the excuse for these levies mobilizing would've likely changed, if he even gave any, as you haven't heard anything from the newspapers.

Your other wives, unaccustomed the lifestyle, struggled with the strict knightly regimen. Even the usually strong and resilient Cattleya needed to rest every so often— you attributed this to pregnancy taking its toll on her body. All of your wives, save Ayane, seemed to have similar problems. Even Gerty would be out of breath after doing some target practice against clankers. All of your wives admitted that, were it not for your morale-boosting presence, they wouldn't of practiced half as much.

Yet these lessons weren't always physical. Unlike your own training regimen, Gerty focused on the technical aspects of combat and warfare. And again unlike the workout routine you made for your wives, she would focus on cooperation as a whole instead of individual training.

Gerty would also go on about strategy and tactics on a daily basis. Skirmishing, flanking, shock tactics, artillery barrages, dealing against or being a part of a mechanical army, guerilla fighting, where to hunker down and hold a position, even hit and run tactics. Many of these topics were already discussed before when the Bandits were here, yet none of you complained on brushing up on things. While her specialty was ground warfare, she knew enough about airship battles and naval warfare to hold some exercises in case you all needed to quickly use The Vixen's Luck or your BoatMech for rapid boarding and defense.
