>Elecmon
>Gazimon
You want to work with something you can predict. Kaus Gammamon would be a strong choice, but that would skew the distribution of firepower. Kunemon is a mystery, but it doesn't seem super competent.
"Uh... You and you."
You point to Elecmon girl and Gazimon girl. Liza and... Something. You'll ask later. They both nod in acknowledgement, and Wind moves on to splitting the rest of the team.
"We'll all be together until we get inside. Then we'll do a basic scan for the layout and start splitting up into groups. We'll be in constant communication, with Squid on the line, so all three squads should be doing something productive."
That's another improvement from last time. You weren't very happy with being unable to contact them, for fear of drawing bots to your solo stealth mission. You hope it's much smoother with a team of three to rely on. You all finish up a final round of refreshers and reminders, then Wind hands out the code conversion packet. It's an unassuming file icon, but you hold in your hands an object that can turn you into lower-form code. Mess up, and you might be permanently lost. It's as scary as the bomb.
Once the meeting is over, Liza wanders to your side. Gazimon girl takes her cue and follows. She's a gloomy looking one, with pitch black hair like yourself. While yours is straight and long, hers is wavy and shoulder-length, falling over her gray eyes and nearly covering them. She's a stark contrast to the energetic Liza, with bright blue eyes and a high ponytail. Red and blue streaks mark her brown hair, copying her partner's distinctive markings.
"So- We're a team tomorrow! I assume you're taking the lead." She says cheerfully.
"If you're okay with that." You reply, settling back into your chair.
"No complaints. Right, Bella?"
Bella nods. She quietly picks up her Digivice and shows you the screen.
There's a little Gazimon moving back and forth. Unlike Liza's partner, who's perched on her head, it's sitting inside the prototype Dock.
"Gazimon says you were looking at us funny."
You were indeed. You were a bit hesitant to have Phascomon partner up with a Gazimon, considering his grudge, but he doesn't seem to hold it against the species itself. In fact, you remember him bragging and telling his story to the assembled Digimon the last time. You were still a little concerned about his reaction, but chose her in the end anyway.
"We've run into Gazimon before. Just wondering what your partner is like."
She nods and looks back at the floor, hiding her freckled face behind her long bangs. She seems pretty withdrawn and quiet, compared to the ball of energy to your right. Another weirdo like Squid, probably.
