You have to go way back like 2005 and older to at least find some actual fun and good moments and times at anime conventions. As soon as people started watching videos about anime cons from Youtube then that was the moment normies and e-celebs made it a no-fun allowed zone, but the past few years before covid made it consoomer marketplace where real anime fans left. Covid put the final nail in the coffin where to this day you can find people still wearing face masks.
