Hi /hsrg/, I saw recently there's a huge meltdown on Asia image boards such as Arcalive (KR), dcinside gallery (KR), Tieba (CN) and NGA (CN) on how miHoYo and HSR are pushing male & LGBTQ characters such as Phainon due to the current story and animated short of him going shirtless.
On Korea's side because of the ongoing feminist movement, it's much more controversial over there.
A current topic is: if UFC fighters in western and eastern media are fighting shirtless, why is Phainon considered "gay" in the animated short?

I've asked /vmg/ awhile back and they said it's because miHoYo is extremely greedy and wants to omnipander to the mass market instead of choosing a side like Love and Deepspace, Snowbreak, Wuthering Waves. Therefore, true gacha otakus will leave for heavy ML/waifu pandering.

Is this all ture?

Trolling aside, I unironically think HSR is about to break a revenue record for next month.
