this gets taken advantage of by aggressive self-styled "egg crackers" who use what are basically cult tactics to force these susceptible autists to "admit they are trans"

the tactics used here are pretty nasty at that, the implied (and actual) threat behind this is, if they do not "admit to being trans", they get ostracized from their community

So functionally, you have a large amount of autists for whom the speedrunning community is their only form of social contact which they are terrified of losing, and a smaller group of social predators who have realized this and use it to their advantage

They're victims with no support network that will help them because any attempt to fight back against these predators is framed as transphopbia
