Would Eggman immediately take over the world if Sonic vanished from existence somehow? I know Forces sort of answered that question, but i'd like to know now if anyones opinions have changed since then since the writing is a little different now.

Like, would the other friends band together to stop Eggman? They seem just as capable and even as fast as Sonic when you play as them.
