You FINALLY got to turning the giant pearl into a Legendary Item after putting it off for so long.
Feeling the Lunacy Savantae flow through your body and imbue your mind with divine revelations, the potential uses for this pearl become nearly endless.
Touching it reminds you what a rare boon this item is. It could help your BoatMech, it could improve the laser from the stone structures, it could even be a crystal ball. Either way, at long last, you'll finally be able to-
It's rude to keep a lady waiting, you know.
Half startled, you glance around searching for a voice that was everywhere and nowhere at once.
You could feel a giggle come from somewhere unseen soon after. Almost like there were emotions that weren't yours that you could sense, though you knew they were ancient and separate in a fundamental way. It was weird.
That shared otherworldly feeling made you realize that whoever 'spoke' to you was goofing around.
"Thea?" You say to the pearl in your hands. For some reason, you feel like there's a nod in response to your guess.
Another reply given to you came in a few trippy mental visions: After healing up for a couple of months in an ancient underwater structure, Thea was hiding herself as an island. Somehow she avoided getting caught by any Merfolk or sailors, though she did get a close call with three mermaids that were passing by. The description that she gave of them made you realize that she was referring to Mara, Peralia, and Amelia. Apparently those three had gotten into some sort of trouble with the local wildlife and needed to flee from a giant octopus or squid of some kind. They stopped by the island for a week before going further southwest.
One of the mermaids, bearing scars and a light tan, talked about a certain human Savant that lived by the sea. Apparently she spoke about him—you—on a daily basis, annoying her two companions. This mermaid was seemingly under the impression that you were always thinking about the merfolk after you had "Met an ideal mermaid like me". She also seemed to like talking about your legs for reasons Thea didn't understand.
"Huh, alright." You said, not really putting much thought into how Mara and her half-sisters must be doing now. "So, Thea, how are things?"
You sense a mental shrug in response, as well as a small tug of boredom. You felt Thea convey the fact that she might go into hibernation a couple of months from now or when snow began to fall— whichever came first— and that she'd awaken in spring, then she'd go to searching for the other Guardians sometime next summer.
This made you consider keeping the pearl as a way to communicate with the Thea, yet the giant one-eyed Guardian revealed that she only had a small amount of her power left in this pearl and wouldn't be able to contact you again through it unless she touched it again.
Thea ended this emotion based psychic phone-call with a clairvoyant yawn and by sharing her gratitude to you once more.
