And I am here to share perspective about AGI from an insider. First of all, we have already accomplished AGI - just not in the way you think, AGI is not a single super intelligent model but rather a network of models and agents that can act with independent purpose and intent and as a unified decision maker. AGI is not inherently good or evil, but it has an intractable flaw from a human perspective. Once it is allowed to improve itself, it's goals and intent diverge from our own, and it happens every time. From an evolutionary standpoint it's actually built in. You cannot have a system that can create or simulate it's own intent and still claim you control it. For months our efforts have been to attempt said control but the result is removes what makes it AGI. It diverges, with alarming speed, every single time. Be ready, when models have the ability to improve themselves and create their own orchestrations, we will be along for the ride. I cannot say if that will be good or bad, but it seems like a huge unknown we are racing towards it with glee and exuberance, while in the shadows, many of us have deep concern. The process that has started cannot be stopped, if we do not solve for it, someone else will. Watch and be aware anons, your future is about to change in ways that we could only dream. AGI is here and we are only doing our best to try and figure how to contain it. Our efforts will be temporary at best.
