those styles don't work because of too many fine lines and the incoherency and meaninglessness, from a distance it looks like a skin disease. tattoos require a certain degree of boldness in its lines and shadowing, because its not a canvas but human skin, older tattoo styles developed for a reason not just because they were "bad artists" or anything. a skin can only pop out images in the way skin can. a lot of these new post-millennial tattoo styles have right ideas about symmetry and different topics/themes sometimes but in the end normies only get so far and just don't get it, they'll be some office wagecuck getting random bits of suns and moons and shapes to look "occult" without knowing anything about it and it all being meaningless mess, then the next year they get a colourful traditional "mom" tattoo on their other side or watercolour mario tattoo.

good tattoos have most of these
>stylistic consistency
>consistent theme
>authenticity
>good use of space/symmetry or asymmetry
>not too many colours, remember you need to wear clothing too which might not match
