I believe this, and I think the divergence point where Susie fucked up the prophecy and derailed it was during that first class session in Chapter 1. Originally Kris was going to partner up with Noelle and Birdley, but Susie literally kicks open the door and ends up being partnered with Kris. If Susie hadn't done that, Kris would have gone on an adventure with Noelle in the dark world.
