Someone way back in the archives wrote a thing on how this was a great picture because of how indiscriminate it is. There's all sorts here. Regular girls, elves, catgirls, demon girls - and they all have so much personality. Some of them are terrified, some completely oblivious. One of them's outraged that such a lowly beast could defeat them. Some managed to start running, some fell over and never got up. All of them were frozen solid all the same. Petrification is the great equaliser.

And I like it because there's no cosmic reason for this to happen to them. Nobody decided they should be frozen for their own perverted purposes. No great villain defeated them and proudly displayed them. Nobody gets anything out of this.

Instead a creature simply... happened to evolve like this. It's not malicious, or evil. It just needs to create a nest, and for that reason all these people from all walks of life ended up as shocked, naked statues crumbling in some dungeon somewhere. All because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
