This guy is taking the piss. We still don't know how the fuck Sonoro spheres work or what causes people to become resonators. I don't think it was even explained anywhere whether resonator status is something normal people are born with or a skill that can be learned, aside from Cartethiya who just became one apparently because a corrupted Sentinel picked her out.
