i watched both franchises, the patlabor look amazing both ovas, tv series and the movies but theres alot of vastly forgettable episodes in the tv series.
Youre under arrest looks amazing in the ovas, the tv series looks fine like the rest of anime of the time, the movie is the peak of the franchise; Going back to the tv series it has better individual episodes and more exciting mini sagas, however theres a long running character that appears in the series atleast 4 times that turn instantly every episode into a shitty one. Rest that aside, YUA is more fun and has better coninuity than patlabor
