You don't have to care, I used that OVA as an example of a good sad story that has to be sad specifically because it takes place in a morally gray era where there is no real good or evil choice, lest you not play to begin with (I really do love "The only winning move is not to play" quote) but then we wouldn't have a story to begin with had the MC not made that choice.
It's fine if you don't like sad endings, I'm just shocked why is it accompanied by the mental illness of wanting to be in every thread hating on them, what do you hope to accomplish?
