we kind of got fucked here because growing up during this time where this was normalized:
A: gave us a taste for things that would vanish
B:made it super hard to accept how lame things/people would be in the future
C:gave us the impression things would be fun forever if they are now

everything is as safe bland and non offensive as possible today. not just media (including games movies magazines commercials music etc) but just the entire culture of today is such apolar opposite of not doing anything that could even feasibly raise an eyebrow from someone. we basically live in bizarro land. a time traveler from the early 2000s would think people today are fucking weird.
