It's like Fontaine's pneuma and ousia, but there is only one form instead of two, but to compensate some natlan enemies will be really annoying without it
Nod Krai:

They will be tied to Nod Krai characters, will be completely abandoned after Nod Krai and we'll likely make some Nod Krai enemies straight up impossible without lunar reactions.
Imagine how much better genshin would be if these gimmicks were fleshed out, balanced and expanded upon instead of being sold then dropped.
