>I have a problem with how moving works in combat.
...?

>Basically melee fighters have no reason not to move behind their enemy every time they decide to attack. It takes like 3 MA to do it and it forces the enemy to rotate as well on their next turn.
...Interesting...

>Whenever it happens in-game I just think of picrel. It feels wrong with how goofy it is, but I cannot find a single rule that would say it doesn't work this way. Am I missing something? Is there some way to make it less silly?
Yeah, I think you've identified a loophole in the rules. (However, it's a problem I'd say exists in most games. Initiative systems are problematic.)

I'd definitely set up a houserule for that. Something like:

"When you enter into melee combat with another unit, both units become 'Involved' (or some other term like that) and can automatically adjust their facings to be facing each other -- but only relative to each other. When three or more units are engaged in melee combat with each other, all become Involved with each other; any and/or all of the units can automatically adjust their facings to be facing one of the others -- but, again, only relative to each other. Such free facing-changes during melee combat can happen whenever any Involved unit chooses, but can only be done once per Round."

I dunno, maybe that opens up other abuses. But I agree, I think you found a bug in the system.
