Meanwhile, information appeared that a former Azerbaijani MP calls for a Turkish military base to be deployed in Azerbaijan, a former head of the presidential administration of Heydar Aliyev, Eldar Namazov, said.

Namazov told Yeni Müsavat newspaper that Baku is under pressure from both Iran and Russia, which he sees as a threat to Azerbaijan's security.

"The only factor that can once and for all deter them from [aggression against Azerbaijan] is to clearly demonstrate the impossibility of such aggression or that it will be very costly.
