The worry I've seen repeated is that the censoring platforms will eventually start demanding content parity as a condition of release. It was long speculated that after 2019 and Omega Labyrinth Z's marketing stunt that Sony started enforcing content parity clauses to prevent affected developers from using them to advertise uncensored Switch/PC releases, as an explanation for why most releases from 2020 onwards were neutered down to Playstation's standards for all versions.
