Man, DQ5 was a masterpiece. I really liked all the different dialogues you could have with your wife and children, it was cute as fuck. But that game followed the typical "hero's journey" outline, from childhood to adulthood and all the trauma you could pack in it. Pokemon games are always made with children in mind (it doesn't matter if the true fanbase is 30+ yrs old nostalgic people). I can't imagine them ever adding romance, courtship, and so on. They can barely code Pokemon battles, which are the core of their gameplay.
