the Dawnblade is a superheavy gun that even regular Dragoons have trouble using and is meant for the ultratech final boss level mechanoids that are superheavies
it's so enormous you can also simply install it on the ground as a massive artillery battery in a fixed position.
And the cost to make it is insane as well, it requires basically fully completing the vanilla tech tree and the entire mod tech tree and requires a bunch of techprints on top of the research, not to mention making one costs several THOUSAND Steel (each Tungsteel costs 20 steel and 10x chemfuel, each Slamponent is 10 steel and 5 Tungsteel....) and Uncraftable fire-control systems that require summoning and defeating the equivalent of an advanced mech-hive like mechanitor upgrades
All that for a 50 damage explosive rifle is honestly not even worth it besides a vanity flex. A vanilla legendary persona plasma sword does ~46 damage a swing (23 base damage, times 1.6 for quality, then 10 flame damage on top) and swings multiple times per second before even accounting for buffs like Strong Melee Damage (which there's no equivalent for to boost guns). Even with dumb modded guns melee is still the way to go in vanilla. My sanguophage has an average of 39 damage with just an excellent non-persona monosword.
