For older games, it helps get them running.
Batman Arkham Asylum has an issue with the initial window that opens. In Windows, it's completely fucked.
Linux (Running GE-Proton) has no issues at all.
Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 suffer from problems in Windows 11 and you have to tinker a bit to get them running.
Linux runs them both perfectly.
I wouldn't recommend running Linux for newer games (Released 2020 or after) if you have an Nvidia GPU, but if you like older games that suffer in Windows Linux would be your default OS choice even if you just run Mint.
If you have an AMD GPU, don't require Windows for work, and are comfortable setting up yay (Pic related) then there's zero reason you should be running Windows in my honest opinion.
