It's a delusion where Indians believe they've been impregnated by a dog bite. Victims might feel labour pains (afternoon diarrhea), sometimes claim to see the puppies inside them, supposedly develop a fear of water and eventually die (except women who just give birth to the puppies). The fear of water is actually a serious problem because that's a symptom of rabies. It's likely that Indians misinterpreted rabies so hard that they developed a mental illness unique to them.
